Lockheed Martin has acquired Astrotech Corp.’s Space Operations business in a move that bolsters Lockheed’s launch preparation services.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Astrotech Space Operations’ capabilities in launch preparation complement Lockheed’s capabilities in satellite design, production and integration, said Lockheed president and CEO Marillyn Hewson.
Space Operations will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin.
The Titusville, Fla.-based company has a number of government and commercial customers including both U.S. and international agencies and firms.
