Lockheed Martin wins $23.6M contract to support submarine warfare systems
Lockheed Martin has won a $23.6 million contract to support the Navy’s Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems.
Lockheed Martin has won a $23.6 million contract to support the Navy’s Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems.
The Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems enable submarines to join integrated fighting forces in open oceans, and is composed of C4I systems.
Under the contract, Lockheed will provide systems engineering and integration, as well as requirements synthesis, technical performance parameter derivation, test and validation, and configuration management and control of the submarine fleet electronic interface database, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., Middletown, R.I., San Antonio, Texas, Groton, Conn., Newport, R.I., Woodbridge, Va., Riverdale, Md., Canton, Ill., Greensboro, N.C., Bethesda, Md., Mystic, Conn., and North Waterford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by January 2015.
