The Air Force Medical Support Agency is seeking contract support to develop, design, configure, implementation and deploy of a VDI solution. The contract would be for overall program management, as well as creating and tracking an Integrated Master Schedule, information assurance support, and system engineering.
The department needs to enhance the existing Air Force Medical Applications Virtualization System, leveraging the current architectural design. It also seeks to adapt the design to support both clinical applications virtualization and virtual desktop workload.
The system’s configuration is unstable and inconsistent and leaves an unsecure network of current clinical desktop devices. The issues affect healthcare providers’ performance.
The Air Force released the RFI April 30. Responses are due by May 14.
