Three companies awarded $119M USPTO contract

Three companies will take part in a five-year, $119 million contract to support the Patent and Trademark Office’s IT initiatives.

Three companies will take part in a five-year, $119 million contract to support the Patent and Trademark Office’s IT initiatives.

AEEC of Reston, Va., eGlobal Tech of Arlington, Va., and Octo Consulting of McLean, Va., received the award. They will provide independent, objective, and expert technical advice and assistance for the office’s ongoing and future IT initiatives.

The award is a continuation of the Infrastructure, Design, Engineering, Architecture, and Integration, (IDEAI-2) contract. The companies will provide system design, infrastructure engineering, network engineering, system engineering, accessibility engineering, enterprise architecture, data architecture, application architecture, and system development life cycle support.

The first IDEA contract was held by General Dynamics Information Technology, Project Performance Corp. and ManTech MBI.

The USPTO announced the award March 26.
