Northrop wins $219M contract for electronic warfare training

Northrop Grumman has won a $219 million contract with the Air Force to support an electronic warfare training program.

The Joint Threat Emitter Follow-On Production program or JTE, is a mobile air defense electronic warfare threat simulator that provides high-fidelity replication of surface-to-air and anti-aircraft artillery threats for aircrew training, Northrop Grumman said in a release.

Under the contract, the company will produce, test and deliver JTE first article production units.

This contract also includes a $44 million initial award that includes foreign military sales, the company said.
