Raytheon wins $18.8M option to support anti-missile systems

Raytheon has won an $18.8 million option to support the Air Force’s High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile targeting system.

The HARM system is a joint Navy and Air Force program, and its primary mission is to suppress or destroy surface-to-air missile radar and radar-directed air defense artillery systems, according to Raytheon.

Under the option, Raytheon will provide contractor logistics services in order to repair targeting system pods, the Defense Department said.

Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2014.

Funding in the amount of $4.7 million is obligated at the time of the award.
