Sotera taps SRA's Deb Alderson as CEO

Alderson spent six months as SRA's COO

Sotera Defense Solutions has named Deb Alderson president & CEO, effective July 8.

She replaces John Hillen, who just stepped down from the company helm last month, remaining with the company as vice chairman of its advisory board.

Alderson comes to Sotera from SRA International, where she was appointed COO in November after serving as the company’s executive vice president for strategic development. She first joined the company is February 2012.

Before SRA International, Alderson led SAIC’s Defense Solutions group. She stepped down from her position after a scandal involving one of her employees who was indicted in a bribery and kickback scandal tied to the CityTime contract in New York City. Alderson was never accused of any wrongdoing.

Alderson served as president of the Systems Engineering Group at Anteon before joining SAIC.

GREAT choice! Deb is the best. What happened at SAIC says more about SAIC than her. Congratulations, Sotera!
