It allows more employees to work from home, which makes for happier employees and better work. It also has unburdened businesses from the traditional IT model, giving them more IT infrastructure options, Forbes reported.

The cloud also may result in less of a need for a large IT staff, thereby reducing costs by outsourcing to a cloud vendor.
