Northrop names two new execs for Aerospace sector

Northrop Grumman has promoted Kenneth Bedingfield to vice president of business management and chief financial officer of its Aerospace Systems sector and Peggy Nelson as vice president of engineering and global product development.

Northrop Grumman has named two new executives in its Aerospace Systems sector.

Kenneth L. Bedingfield was promoted to vice president of business management and chief financial officer for the sector, where he will lead business management and ensure the integration of sector financial and business strategies in support of corporate objectives.

He replaces Chuck Wands, who announced his plans to retire later this year. Bedingfield comes from Northrop Grumman’s headquarters, where he was corporate vice president and chief accounting officer.

Before Northrop Grumman, Bedingfield worked at KPMG LLP for over 17 years.

Peggy Nelson was named vice president of engineering and global product development for the sector, where she will lead a efforts to deliver more reliable, sustainable and affordable products.

Nelson was formerly vice president and program manager of the company’s advanced mission programs business area.

She has also held a number of other positions at Northrop Grumman, including lead executive for mission assurance, quality systems, engineering capabilities and university alliances for the company’s former space technology sector.
