GDIT takes on IT for DOD schools in Europe

Schools educate both military and civilian employee dependents

General Dynamics Information Technology has won a three-year $18 million task order to provide information technology support services to the Department of Defense Dependents Schools-Europe.

This task order was awarded under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services contract, or ITES-2S.

This overseas school system serves the education needs of both military and civilian employee dependents by providing pre-kindergarten through grade twelve instruction to more than 30,000 students, the company said in a release.

Services that the company will provide include customer technology support, hardware and software support, desktop and laptop management, server and network support and handheld device support.
