The FBI’s small business competition and coordination unit and its IT contracts unit to host an industry forum for small businesses on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
The event will allow discussion and feedback on an upcoming requirement to recompete an IT refresh program for existing equipment at FBI headquarters and field offices, according to the FedBizOpps website.
The program is known as Prevention of Information Technology Obsolescence, and was formerly known as TRP.
Equipment and services to be purchased fall under the following eight categories areas:
- Network storage
- Other IT-related equipment
- Asset recovery
The vendor must be able to provide support services to help the government with extended maintenance, maintain accountable property, and process orders for equipment, the announcement said.
This event is for small businesses only, and small-business status will be confirmed in the award management system.
A number of units will be presenting at the event, including the workspace support unit, the IT contracting unit, the small business competition and coordination unit and the Justice Department Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization.
Registration is required by Feb. 4, and can be completed via a form found on the FedBizOpps website.
