Vistronix acquires geospatial and data visualization firm

Acquistion of Technology Associates boosts Vistrionix's head count to 450.

Vistronix has completed its acquisition of Technology Associates International Corp., bolstering its geospatial and data visualization capabilities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition adds 450 of Technology Associates’ employees to Vistronix’s roster, according to a release.

Technology Associates International Corp. is located in Stafford, Va., and provides information technology support services to the Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy, as well as the Health and Human Services Department and the U.S. Strategic Command.

In addition to its geospatial and data visualization software applications and systems, Technology Associates operates command and control centers.

On Vistronix’s vision, company chairman and CEO, Deepak Hathiramani, said it “is to provide national security systems, solutions and services that protect our country's safety, security and economic well-being."

The deal positions Vistronix as a mid-tier prime contractor that is dedicated to solving the nation’s security challenges, he said.

Enlightenment Capital, as well as the Technology and Government Division of SunTrust Bank, provided financing for the acquisition, Vistronix said.
