PwC builds IT consulting chops with Ray acquisition

PwC US has acquired Ray Group International LLC in a move that builds PwC’s technology consulting and implementation for public sector clients in the areas of IT strategy, enterprise architecture and program management.

Former leaders of Ray Group, including CEO Ronald E. Ray, president Michael Louden and COO Michael Hecker have all joined PwC in leadership roles, which are undisclosed as of yet.

Scott McIntyre, PwC’s U.S. public sector leader, was happy to welcome Ray Group’s leadership executives. “The core skill set of the RGI team strongly complements PwC's existing services in healthcare IT, program management and communications consulting.  Their client-centric approach mirrors our own, and we know they will bring tremendous additional value to our clients,” he said.

The investment bank KippsDeSanto worked Ray Group on the transaction which closed on Nov. 6. Financial terms were not disclosed.
