CACI's London leads group of 2012's top contractors

Jack London, chairman of CACI International, has been picked to receive the Hall of Fame award as part of the 10th annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards program.

London will be the 10th person inducted into the hall of fame, and he joins other legends of the government contracting market, such as Norm Augustine, former chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin, Robert Beyster, founder of Science Applications International Corp., and Phil Odeen, who led companies such as BDM International and TRW Inc.

In addition to the hall of fame award, the annual awards program recognizes four companies as contractors of the year and three individuals as executives of the year. The program is produced by the Fairfax County, Va., Chamber of Commerce, the Professional Services Council and Washington Technology.

Finalists for this year’s program were announced Thursday. The winners in each category will be announced Nov. 1 at a gala dinner.

In addition to the companies and executives, the GovCon Awards program also will recognize Elliott Branch, deputy assistant secretary of acquisition and procurement at the Navy, and Alexander Mavroukakis, contracting officer at the Education Department and General Service Administration, as public sector partners of the year.
