BAE Systems names Dan Gobel as new president of electronic systems sector.

BAE Systems has elected Dan Gobel as president of the electronic systems sector.

The position was previously held by Tom Arseneault, who now serves as executive vice president for product sectors and as chief technology officer for BAE Systems.

Gobel, who joined BAE Systems in 1992, had been the vice president and deputy general manager of the electronic systems sector, which was formed in 2011 after the combination of BAE’s former platform solutions and electronic solutions sectors.

The electronic systems sector currently offers an array of electronic systems, such as night vision systems, surveillance and reconnaissance sensors and secure waveform architecture.
