QinetiQ provides tech expertise for Navy combat program

QinetiQ North America will provide engineering and technical management support to the Navy under a three-year contract worth $9.9 million, according to a July 5 Defense Department announcement.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite delivery, indefinite-quantity contract calls for QNA to support all programs and projects related to the design and integration of systems for manned and unmanned craft for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, Combatant Craft Division.

Work will be performed primarily at Virginia Beach, Va., and is expected to be completed by July 2015.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

QinetiQ Group plc, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 38 on Washington Technology’s 2012 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.

I wonder - will QNA be making sure the "integration of systems" will include IPv6-capable management, monitoring, operations, etc.?
