SAIC names new GM of enterprise and mission solutions unit

Science Applications International Corp. has named Calvin Harris business unit general manager in support of the company's Enterprise and Mission Solutions Business unit.

Dan Harris, as he’s known, will report to Tom Baybrook, president of SAIC's Defense Solutions Group, the Feb. 24 company announcement said.

He has served in a variety of executive positions, most recently as senior vice president and program manager for one of the SAIC's largest contracts in support of the Unified NASA Information Technology Services program.

He also served as deputy business unit general manager for SAIC's Homeland and Civilian Solutions Business Unit.

Harris joined the company in 1999, when SAIC purchased Boeing Information Services, where he had been employed for 22 years.

SAIC, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 6 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
