ECS closes Paradigm deal

Acquisition builds professional services business and adds new government customers.

Electronic Consulting Services has finished its deal to buy Paradigm Technologies Inc., in a move to grow its professional service business.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ECS picks up about 200 employees and new customers with the Missile Defense Agency, Navy, Marine Corps and the U.S. Marshal Service.

Aronson Capital Partners served as an advisor to Paradigm in the transaction.

“Paradigm Technologies met the key criteria we were looking for in an acquisition,” said Roy Kapani, president and CEO of ECS. Both companies focus on hiring the best employees and then supporting them as they provide customers with high quality services, he said.

Paradigm brings core competence in business financial management and program support, which complement ECS’s core business areas of program management support and engineering services, the company said in a statement.

With the acquisition, ECS expects to pass $200 million in revenue for 2012.
