Former Blackboard executive will oversee strategic development of IT programs

QinetiQ North America has hired John Lambeth as its new CIO. He will be responsible for strategic development of the company’s IT capabilities, including management of its network infrastructure, a company announcement said today.

Lambeth began his career with Xerox Corp. in 1988, developing executive information and business forecasting systems and rising to the position of CIO for Xerox Connect, an IT consulting and managed services company.

He later worked as vice president of corporate systems at CIGNA and as senior vice president and CIO at Erickson Senior Living.

Lambeth has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from McDaniel College and an MBA from the University of Rochester.
