Carey to replace DOD's Wennergren

Navy CIO Robert Carey will replace Dave Wennergren as the Defense Department's Deputy CIO and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Information Management, Carey said in e-mail correspondence today.

Carey will assume his new position effective Monday, Oct. 25. Pentagon officials were unavailable for comment at press time.

Mr Carey arrives at OSD NII with an interesting track record; - Hundreds of Speaking Engagements - Billions in cost overruns and sole source award for NMCI - A strategic plan that is already shelf ware. - A useless Enterprise Architecture that no one uses. The good news for Rob is that he will be able to continue the work of Wennergren who spent 80% of his time speaking at events.
