L-3 to deliver counter-terrorism support services

Navy IDIQ contract covers program management, technical engineering support

A unit of L-3 Communications Corp. will furnish products and technical services to enhance federal information technology counter-terrorism capabilities under a Navy contract potentially worth $85 million over five years.

Under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, L-3 Services Inc. will provide program management, technical engineering, integrated logistics, data management and security engineering support for federal enterprise IT systems and networks at the Defense and Justice departments and other federal agencies, DOD officials said April 15.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic in Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity. Work will be performed in Charleston, Washington, D.C., and Norfolk, Va.

L-3 Communications Corp., of New York, ranks No. 8 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors
