CSC wins $21M Alliant task order from EEOC

Contract calls for installation of new laptops and other computer equipment

Computer Sciences Corp. will provide managed services to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) under a seven-year, $21 million task order.

According to the company, this is one of the first task orders to be awarded under the General Services Administration’s new Alliant contract.

Under terms of the agreement, CSC will install new laptop computer equipment that includes notebooks, netbooks and tablet PCs, and provide a nationwide information technology help desk.

In addition to this task order, CSC currently provides the EEOC with a wide range of information technology support services that include training, network management and web development.

“We are looking forward to providing our staff of nearly 2,500 people nationwide with a broader and deeper level of IT support that will allow us to work smarter and more efficiently,” Kimberly Hancher, chief information officer at the EEOC, said in a statement Dec. 15.

CSC, of Falls Church, Va., ranks No. 9 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
