ITT to support Navy simulation research

ITT Corp. will assist the Naval Research Laboratory with the development of simulation technologies under a $17.6 million contract.

ITT will provide systems engineering and research and development support in the areas of modeling and simulation, intelligent information systems, and virtual reality systems and applications, the Defense Department said April 29.

If all options are exercised, the contract has a potential value of $94.1 million, DOD officials said. The company will perform the work in Washington, D.C.

ITT, of White Plains, N.Y., ranks No. 14 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
