QinetiQ to furnish security services to NCIS

QinetiQ North America will provide various security services to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) under a new contract.

The company’s Security and Intelligence Services business unit will provide a range of security services as part of new program at NCIS, company officials said in a statement today. The three-year contract is valued at $1.4 million, they said.

The company’s offerings address physical and digital security, and include security consulting services. The specific services involved were not outlined in the statement.

NCIS is the principal law enforcement and counterintelligence arm of the Navy.

QinetiQ North America, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 24 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
