ITT unit to support Naval Research Laboratory

ITT Corp. will provide a variety of key support services to the Center for High Assurance Computer Systems within the Naval Research Laboratory under a $7.8 million contract.

ITT’s Advanced Engineering and Sciences Division will furnish scientific, engineering, technical and analytical support for a wide range of research and information technology activities at the center, Defense Department officials said Jan. 9.

The contract could be worth as much as $42.2 million if all options are exercised, they said. ITT AES will perform the work in Washington, D.C. The Naval Research Laboratory is the contracting activity.

ITT AES is part of ITT Corp., of White Plains, N.Y. The parent company ranks No. 14 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
