BearingPoint to assist Marines with identity management

BearingPoint Inc. will provide identity and access management technology to the Marine Corps under a contract that could be worth as much as $15.6 million over five years.

Under the contract, BearingPoint, of McLean, Va., will develop an identity and access management approach and supply the integration services necessary to make it operational, the Defense Department said Sept. 15. The technology will be available for systems and organizations throughout the Marine Corps, DOD said.

The work falls under the Marine Corps Enterprise Information Technology Services program. The purpose is to provide integrated Web services comprising a shared data environment, Web portal, identity management and access control.

The work, which will be performed primarily at the company's facilities in McLean, is expected to be completed in September 2013.

BearingPoint ranks No. 28 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
