DLT forms data management division

Reseller DLT Solutions Inc. has launched an enterprise data management division by bringing together three teams under a new leader.

The company hired Brian Strosser as a vice president to pull the group together. Strosser was brought in from Network Appliance Inc. where he most recently served as the director for U.S. public-sector channels and emerging markets.

The new division combines DLT's information assurance division, the field engineering organization and the company's service center.

"The addition of Brian Strosser as a vice president and the launch of this new division is just the first of many new initiatives we have planned," said Rick Marcotte, president and chief executive officer of DLT Solutions of Herndon, Va. "Our customers' data protection and management needs ? storage, security and engineering support ? are expanding and it is vital we are positioned to meet that demand."

Founded in 1991, DLT Solutions represents such hardware and software manufacturers as Autodesk, NetApp, Oracle, Quantum, Quest Software, Red Hat and Symantec.
