Fourteen large information technology companies have won slots on the Defense Information Systems Agency's massive Encore II Information Technology Solutions contract for large businesses.
The four companies that protested the 10-year, $12.2. billion contract award more than a year ago have each won places on the revised award.
Three of those contractors ? Computer Sciences Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp. and Unisys Corp. ? were prime contractors on DISA's Encore I contract. IBM Corp. also protested the contract.
The protests were filed in February 2007, and the Government Accountability Office sustained them that May.
Encore II contractors will provide network-centric related services, as well as incidental hardware and software, in such areas as command and control, intelligence and mission support, according to DISA documents. The range of services include enterprise information technology policy and planning, integrated solutions management, performance benchmarking, business process re-engineering and Web services.
DISA's small-business set-aside awards were announced last month. Work for the large businesses begins June 1.
The winners are:
- BAE Systems.
- Booz Allen Hamilton Inc.
- CACI International Inc.

- EDS Corp.
- IBM Corp.
- Jacobs Technology Inc.
- L-3 Communications Corp.
- Lockheed Martin Corp.
