Netsec adds execs to management team

The new head of Network Security Technologies Corp. is bringing in a fresh team of executives as one of his first orders of business.

Glenn Hazard was named the company's chairman and chief executive March 18. Now he has appointed operations, marketing and corporate development executives to support the company's expansion within the enterprise and international markets, including the government space.

Jim Tholen, former chief financial officer and chief strategy officer at CareerBuilder Inc., has joined as chief operations officer and chief financial officer.

Mordecai "Mo" Rosen will serve as Netsec's vice president of corporate development. He was a senior partner at Zero-G Inc. and a managing director of its Zero-G Capital Fund.

Ruby Qurashi is the new vice president of marketing. She was the co-founder LaunchDogs Inc., a consultancy focusing on corporate and product market strategy and support for high-tech companies.

"Jim, Mo and Ruby have extensive experience in aggressively growing technology companies, and their addition to the Netsec team is a great asset," Hazard said. "They each bring specific expertise in delivering to market successful, enterprise-focused solutions, which will be key in positioning us for our next stage of growth."

Founded in 1998 and based in Herndon, Va., Netsec is a privately held company specializing in managed security services for government agencies and commercial customers. Among its federal clients are the National Science Foundation and bureaus within the Justice Department.
