Lockheed aids small firms

Lockheed Martin Corp. recently entered into an agreement to strengthen its commitment to small businesses in Massachusetts.

Lockheed Martin and Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network officials signed a memorandum of understanding to support the state's Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

The memorandum establishes a working relationship and guidelines to support small business development and use, and will enhance efforts to increase small business participation in contracts, company officials said.

Lockheed Martin of Bethesda, Md., and the Massachusetts PTAC will work together to identify small businesses that are able to perform subcontracts for Lockheed Martin business units across the nation.
