Dynamics Research Corp. was awarded $3.5 million for the first year of a proposed six-year effort to provide continuing services to Air National Guard offices in Arlington, Va., and at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. The full contract, including options, has a potential value of $37 million, company officials said Oct. 3.
Under the Air National Guard contract, DRC's services will include maintenance and further development of the Guard Information Analysis Network, a management information system that provides real-time readiness information on Air National Guard equipment, personnel and resources, according to the company.
The management information system includes analytical and technical support for contingency operations, data warehousing, a corporate Web/intranet, customer service and training support, modeling and simulation, and centralized readiness and performance assessment. DRC has been providing similar services to the Air National Guard since 1998.
DRC of Andover, Mass., provides engineering, logistics, training, modeling and simulation and information technology services and precision manufactured products that enhance the performance and cost effectiveness of its customers' mission critical systems.
In August, DRC won a five-year prime contract worth about $26 million to provide technical and acquisition support services to the U.S. Air Force's Global Command and Control System program office.
