The commission needs a data collection and reporting system that will process data produced by the Child Deaths Review Board. The system will detect child care system flaws that might lead to deaths.The Arkansas Department of Education will release a request for proposal to replace student software and is considering maintenance and updates required for ongoing operations. The procurement is expected in the fourth quarter of 2002. The RFP addresses the implementation phase of the Arkansas Public School Computer Network's Student Applications Management Project.Montgomery County, Md., Department of Information Systems and Telecommunications will hire a vendor to implement an integrated justice information system. The RFP will be released in the fourth quarter. Montgomery County has a mainframe-based system and wants to upgrade to a client server environment. The new system will integrate the juvenile justice, district courts, circuit courts, police, state's attorney and corrections systems.The Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Support Enforcement wants help developing an
e-commerce application for the child support program. The procurement is expected in the fourth quarter of 2002. The department wants to reduce client interaction and agency costs; evolve the role physical offices play in client service delivery; enhance staff effectiveness and responsiveness; empower parents; and expand the reach of existing information systems.
