Anteon nets $35 million in military contracts

Anteon International Corp. won two contracts worth nearly $35 million for a range of technical and engineering services to the Navy and Air Force.

Anteon International Corp. won two contracts worth nearly $35 million for a range of technical and engineering services to the Navy and Air Force.

Under a five-year, $24.5 million contract with the Naval Sea Systems Command awarded Aug. 7, Anteon of Fairfax, Va., will provide services such as logistics modernization support and application of off-the-shelf technology to modernize Navy undersea warfare systems. The company also will provide program development support, data collection, analysis and evaluation, source data development and validation.

Under a five-year, $10 million contract awarded Aug. 8, the company will support the Air Force Sensors Technology Applications, Development and Evaluation program. Anteon will provide services to support the Air Force's development of enabling technologies across a wide range of applications.

Anteon, which went public in March, recorded revenue of $715 million in 2001 and employs almost 5,500 people in more than 80 offices worldwide.
