The library at the National Gallery of Art seeks to replace its library system with a modern, commercial one. The system will manage the library's core operations in technical services, including acquisitions and fund accounting, cataloging and authority control, serials control and physical processing; reader services, such as online public catalog, interlibrary loan and circulation and inventory; and digital resource management.
The system must support a wide range of library functions, including some that may be unique to the National Gallery of Arts library, and allow staff and researchers to locate and manage information from both internal and external digital resources, regardless of format, through a single interface.
