Anteon lands $27 million Navy contract

Anteon Corp. announced March 20 it has been awarded a contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, to support the Navy's Aegis shipbuilding program.

The contract is for six months with four one-year options and one three-month option. The contract is valued at approximately $27.3 million if all options are exercised.

The contract is a follow-on for support that Anteon of Fairfax, Va., has been providing the center since 1996. Under the terms of the new contract, Anteon will provide configuration management analysis and technical support, international programs support, systems engineering and program management support.

"The Aegis shipbuilding program continues to be one of the Navy's key programs," said Joseph Kampf, Anteon's president and chief executive officer. "Our long history of providing a broad spectrum of support for the Aegis program and this follow-on contract affirm the high quality support we have been providing."

Anteon's team for the contract includes Southeastern Computer Consultants Inc., Frederick, Md., and Engineering Services Network Inc., Arlington, Va.
