TAKING THE REINS: David Johnson

My role will be to aggressively grow our consulting practice in the federal marketplace. I have been with Deloitte Consulting since 1983 in a number of capacities. I've led two of our larger offices (Pittsburgh and Toronto) as managing director, led a segment of our state and local government practice and currently serve on several firm management committees. My experience in providing large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations along with enterprisewide process improvement allow me to have the unique capability to serve the rapidly changing federal marketplace. My development and career progression at Deloitte will serve me well as I take on the largest challenge in my career to date. My new role will have me spending essentially all of my time working with our clients, our vendor alliance partners and expanding our delivery team. This role will allow me to effectively manage our growth while balancing the tremendous opportunities we see with our clients. In the rapidly changing federal market, we need to focus on those engagements that provide value to our clients, align with vendors that provide critical solutions to meet our client needs, and position Deloitte Consulting to continue to serve our clients in the future.
