The Defense Information Systems Agency will issue a solicitation for global scientific, engineering, integration and technical services to support its missions and other Defense Department and federal agencies. This program will replace the Joint Information Engineering Organization Systems Engineering contracts, the Defense Information Infrastructure Integration contract and other contracts within DISA that are due to end.

The Defense Information Systems Agency will issue a solicitation for global scientific, engineering, integration and technical services to support its missions and other Defense Department and federal agencies. This program will replace the Joint Information Engineering Organization Systems Engineering contracts, the Defense Information Infrastructure Integration contract and other contracts within DISA that are due to end.

Services under the new contract will include providing support to DISA, the National Military Command Systems and the Senior Leadership Communications System in areas such as global command and control, global information grid, strategic and senior leadership systems, engineering, information assurance and electronic business and commerce.

The program ceiling is $1 billion over seven years, and DISA intends to award two sets of indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts, one based on full and open competition, the other on small business set-aside. Responses are due by Dec. 10.DISA also is seeking sources to provide information to the National Communications System on potential emergency notification before, during and after an emergency via telephones, pagers and cellular telephones. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts wants to acquire an off-the-shelf electronic case filing system for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Eastern District of North Carolina. The system will be an interim solution for the court's work load, while an in-house case management and electronic case filing system is installed by the end of fiscal 2002.
