KPMG Consulting Inc. and Siebel Systems Inc. expanded their strategic alliance to develop and deliver Siebel's e-business solutions, the companies announced June 26.

KPMG Consulting Inc. of McLean, Va., and Siebel Systems Inc. of San Mateo, Calif., expanded their strategic alliance to develop and deliver Siebel's e-business solutions, the companies announced June 26.

KPMG Consulting is one of the world's largest consulting companies. Siebel Systems is the world's leading provider of e-business applications software.

The two companies will focus on the development and delivery of Siebel solutions to global customers across a number of KPMG Consulting's lines of business: public services, financial services, high-tech, communications and content, health care and consumer and industrial markets.

The scope of the alliance includes joint marketing, collaborative selling and solution development by KPMG Consulting in its global network of broadband solution centers.

"For the past several years, KPMG Consulting and Siebel Systems have teamed together to deploy world-class, customer-centric business solutions at some of the world's leading corporations. Now, our strategic alliance enables the two companies to offer clients greater innovation,'' said Gary Gauba, senior vice president of KPMG Consulting.

Gauba said Siebel's applications aid in customer acquisition and retention rates, customer satisfaction and important sales processes. KPMG Consulting has certified Siebel consultants in all of its major industry segments, so that the company can install, configure, operate, maintain and interface with Siebel e-business applications.

KPMG Consulting uses Siebel products in several of its solution offerings, including its suite of customer relationship management offerings and its end-to-end integration of business process and systems across and beyond organizations.

The two companies have completed significant work in multiple industries for joint clients including Microsoft Corp. and the state of Kentucky.
