Anteon Corp. won a five-year, $29 million contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, for diving, salvage and life support, ocean engineering and chemical and biological engineering services. The work will be performed in Panama City, Fla.

Under the terms of the contract, Anteon of Fairfax, Va., will perform program management, engineering and logistical services in support of the station.

The station offers research, development, test and evaluation and in-service support for amphibious warfare, diving, maritime special operations, mine warfare and other naval missions.

Anteon also will provide services to the explosive ordinance disposal teams' mobile support facility recompression chamber systems. The teams conduct diving operations worldwide in depths up to 300 feet and require a recompression chamber nearby for divers with pressure-related injuries.

The chambers need to be self-sufficient because of the remote locations of the diving operations. Anteon will continue to be build them under the contract. The work includes electrical power generation; gas storage for high-pressure air, oxygen and mixed gas; gas transmission piping; and communications.
