Titan, Anteon Score Navy Wins

The Navy has awarded a 42-month contract to Anteon Corp. of Fairfax, Va., and Titan Corp. of San Diego to provide logistics, engineering and technical services to the Naval Sea Logistics Center.

The Navy has awarded a 42-month contract to Anteon Corp. of Fairfax, Va., and Titan Corp. of San Diego to provide logistics, engineering and technical services to the Naval Sea Logistics Center.

The contract is worth more than $50 million if all options are exercised. Titan and Anteon will compete for specific task orders over the life of the contract.

Under the contract, the companies will provide technical, engineering and logistics services to the Defense Department and other government agencies worldwide in several functional areas, including combat systems equipment; hull, mechanical and electrical equipment; and facility support systems.

Other services include equipment design, removal, site preparation, fabrication, relocation, installation, maintenance, overhaul and modernization projects. The work will be performed on technical equipment located at training facilities, schools and laboratories throughout the United States.

In a separate award, the Navy selected Titan for a five-year contract worth $10.2 million. The company will provide engineering, fabrication, testing, installation and other support services to the Surface Undersea Warfare Department.

The department is responsible for a variety of sonar, signal processing, anti-submarine and other undersea warfare combat systems. Titan is slated to provide approximately 250,000 man-hours over the contract period.
