BTG Acquires Research Planning

BTG Acquires Research Planning

In a $9 million deal, systems integrator BTG Inc., Fairfax, Va., has acquired Research Planning Inc., a provider of high-level support services.

More than 90 percent of Research Planning's employees hold security clearances, which helped make the Falls Church, Va.-based company an attractive acquisition target for BTG, said Ed Bersoff, BTG president and chief executive officer.

Research Planning provides services in defense programs, emergency management and range technology and base support to customers in Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies, state governments and commercial firms.

Research Planning also expands BTG's customer base with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the departments of State, Energy and Health and Human Services.
