Maximus Wins Child Support Subcontract in Nebraska

Maximus Corp. has received a three-year, $7.9 million subcontract from a Mississippi law firm to assist with the operation of a child support enforcement program for the city of Omaha and Douglas County, Neb.

The law firm of Young Williams, Henderson, Fusilier and Associates PA will serve as the prime contractor on the project, and Maximus will serve as the subcontractor, Maximus said April 6.

Maximus will provide a wide range of child support enforcement services for an estimated 34,000 child support cases. Specifically, Maximus will provide intake services for individuals seeking child support, assist in establishing paternity and perform other services that improve collections efforts.

Maximus operates 40 child support-related projects around the nation. The company helps local governments collect more than $250 million each year in child support.

Maximus has about 4,100 employees and had sales of $399 million in 2000.
