Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas, and Recourse Technologies Inc., Redwood City, Calif., formed a strategic alliance to bring Recourse security products to the federal market. ACS will recommend and deploy Recourse products ManTrap and ManHunt as part of the ACS information assurance solutions.

ACS is one of several contractors on the Defense Department's I-Assure contract to provide information assurance services to government agencies around the world.

The contract requires ACS to provide the full range of IA capabilities, including technical management expertise, enabling products, technical solutions and professional services. Recourse will assist ACS in supporting this effort, as well as other government programs, with its full threat management solution including ManTrap and ManHunt.

"We believe that ManTrap and ManHunt from Recourse are very important components of our security offering," said James Gerretson, director of information assurance for ACS Defense Inc. "By integrating intrusion detection, firewalls and attack signature action systems with ManTrap and ManHunt for perimeter and internal security, ACS Defense can create an intelligent system that actively detects, contains, and responds to unauthorized access attempts to enterprise applications, data and the corporate network."

Key features of ManHunt include high bandwidth monitoring, protocol anomaly detection and threat event correlation analysis. ManTrap is a secure deception system based on honeypot technology that can monitor and identify attack attempts.
