NOV. 30 ? PEC Solutions Inc. of Fairfax, Va., has won two federal contracts to provide work-force development training and public-safety software.

In the first contract from the administrative office of the U.S. Courts, PEC Solutions won a four-year $2.5 million contract to design and support work-force development training programs. PEC will help the organization develop training programs for delivery on-site or through video or audio conferencing.

Vertex Solutions Inc., a Falls Church, Va. subcontractor to PEC, will help design and build learning solutions for the contract.

Viking Technology Inc., a subsidiary of PEC, won a $1.5 million contract from the General Services Administration's Federal Protective Service to provide dispatching software and an enterprise information system to help personnel manage law enforcement information.

"Once the Viking system is fully deployed for FPS, field agents and top management will have timely and accurate access to information on ongoing cases, strategic data on crime patterns, and agencywide workload statistics," said Paul Wormeli, president of Viking Technology.
