GovConnect, Interactive Intelligence Join on Marketing

AUG. 3 ? Electronic solutions provider GovConnect Inc. and software manufacturer Interactive Intelligence Inc. have announced a strategic marketing agreement that integrates technology from both to create a joint multimedia customer service solution for government agencies.


As part of the agreement announced Aug. 1, Cincinnati-based GovConnect will focus on integrating interaction management technology developed by Interactive Intelligence of Indianapolis, with its AccessNet solution. The two companies have agreed that GovConnect will develop and implement the integrated solution.


AccessNet, developed by GovConnect, provides back-end database and hosting tools that integrate input from phone, Internet and other electronic sources, while Interactive offers complementary front-end interaction management capabilities including Web chat, Web callback, Web and e-mail response management, fax-on-demand, predictive dialing and automatic call distribution.


GovConnect has provided customer contact solutions for such government agencies as taxation and revenue, labor and employment services and human services. The agreement is an outgrowth of the successful partnership between the two companies providing contact center solutions to government agencies in Michigan, Nebraska and Vermont.


GovConnect is a wholly owned subsidiary of Renaissance Worldwide Inc., of Newton, Mass. Interactive Intelligence reported sales of more than $19 million in 1999, while Renaissance Worldwide's sales topped $742 million.
