New Hires

Christine Ramsey was hired as executive vice president of sales and marketing at Net2000 Communications, Herndon, Va., a provider of business telecommunications services. She will direct the company's entry into new markets nationwide and shape the corporate strategy. Previously, she was a senior vice president for Statoil Energy.

Bell Atlantic Federal, Washington, named James McKan, a retired Army colonel, director of operations. McKan will be responsible for re-establishing and implementing the Mentor-ProtÈgÈ program. He also will oversee the program activities associated with the General Services Administration's Millennia contract and the Transportation Department's ITOP-2 contract.

DynCorp of Reston, Va., an information technology and outsourcing solutions company, announced several new hires.

Carl Peckinpaugh joined the company as counsel in its corporate law department. He will be responsible for federal procurement and information technology law.

Ashley Smith was named vice president and chief administrative officer of DynCorp Information Systems. She will manage all the unit's non-financial infrastructure functions.

Grady Wright was hired as senior vice president of DynCorp's Information Systems subsidiary, Civil Sector Programs. He will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the unit. He spent 30 years at TRW Inc., most recently as vice president and general manager of TRW Systems and Information Technology Group.

William Courtney joined DynCorp as president of its DynMeridian subsidiary. DynMeridian provides strategic consulting and implementation services for national security. Courtney served 28 years in the U.S. Foreign Service.

Lucian Russell will lead the data and knowledge management practice for the Public Safety and Law Enforcement Group of its subsidiary company, DynCorp Information Systems. Most recently, Russell ran his own company, Expert Decisions Inc.

ASC Telecom LP, New York, a provider of voice and data recording, announced a new business development division to create strategic alliances and expand North American distribution. New hire Steve Arcoleo will head the division as vice president. ASC will focus on the call center market and look for partners who can integrate technologies to provide solutions to customers.

Lucid Financial Services of Clinton Township, Mich., which specializes in online financial planning and investment services, appointed Jonathan Bergman as business development executive. Bergman will represent Lucid in negotiations with financial institutions and Internet service providers to deliver Lucid's NetPlanner online financial planning system. Bergman joins Lucid from the American Bankers Association.

The Staubach Co., Vienna, Va., selected Cathy Lange as vice president of innovation. She will develop new business opportunities and complement the real estate services of Staubach's Technology Practice. Lange was vice president of business development at the disbanded Potomac KnowledgeWay.

Promotions

TRW Inc. promoted Alan Draft to vice president of sales for TRW Global Enterprise Solutions in Reston, Va. Global Enterprise Solutions focuses on e-business consulting, technology integration and integrated supply chain solutions, and is part of TRW's Systems & Information Technology Group. Kraft will be responsible for selling e-business supply chain and integration services to the global commercial market. He previously was the director of sales for TRW's Commercial Information Technology business.
