Lewis Named Publisher of Washington Technology

Scott Lewis

Scott Lewis, former associate publisher of Washington Technology, has been promoted to the position of publisher of the fast-growing business newspaper for government systems integrators.

Lewis joined Washington Technology two years ago from the global market research firm Input of Vienna, Va. He succeeds Tim Karney, who left the publication in June.

Washington Technology, published by Post-Newsweek Business Information Inc., a subsidiary of The Washington Post Company, covers the government information technology services industry and has a circulation of 40,000 subscribers.

"Scott provides WT a solid knowledge base about the world of government contracting. He has shown strong leadership on the sales and marketing side, and we have great confidence in him as he takes the lead role on WT," said Andrew Jacobson, president of Post-Newsweek Business Information Inc., in Vienna.

Lewis brings to Washington Technology expertise in the federal systems integration marketplace, having served eight years at Input, most recently as vice president in charge of its government research program. In that post, Lewis supported strategic planning efforts for government systems integrators and vendors. He also was a business development manager for a government systems integrator for more than five years.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to build on a tradition of excellence at the only national newspaper that is 100 percent dedicated to the government channel," Lewis said.

Post-Newsweek Business Information Inc. also publishes Government Computer News, GCN State & Local, GCN Shopper, Integration Management, TechCapital and hosts the FedImaging and FOSE trade shows.
