GENERAL GOVERNMENT

DynCorp., a Reston, Va., technology firm involved in occupational and biomedical health, has won in recompetition two separate contracts from the National Institutes of Health to provide on-site occupational medical care to NIH employees in Bethesda, Md., and to operate a vaccine research and development laboratory in Rockville, Md. Both contracts, which were awarded competitively, are for five years and have a combined total of more than $13 million.

GTS Duratek, Columbia, Md., has been awarded a contract to provide decommissioning support services for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District's Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station. The contract value is estimated at $3 million over a three-year period and its scope includes a broad range of specialized radiological engineering, site radiological characterization and radioactive waste management services to assist district personnel in planning the larger decommissioning effort.

ERI Services in Pittsburgh has been awarded an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract by the U.S. Department of Energy for providing energy savings performance contracting services valued at $150 million. ERI Services, ranked first by the DOE technical evaluation team, was among six energy services companies selected from 14 bidders for the program that will total $750 million. The companies will install energy-saving technologies and equipment in federal buildings with no up-front cost charged to the government.

NCR Corp., Dayton, Ohio, has announced that systems integrator TRW Data Systems has chosen the NCR Teradata parallel relational database management system as the new database for its Very Large Database contract with the U.S. government. The selection for the $5 million contract was made after extensive customer-specific benchmark testing that simulated multiple users simultaneously querying 1 terabyte of user data.

The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded a five-year contract valued at more than $12 million to Florida Aviation Management Development Associates, a joint venture led by American Systems Corp. of Chantilly, Va. The contract requires FAMDA to design, develop and deliver leadership, supervisory, management and team-related training to approximately 8,000 government personnel annually.

Wang Government Services, Billerica, Mass., has been awarded a five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract valued at up to $7 million from Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., Washington, for fulfillment services for PBGC's Participant Records Information System Management Automated Letter Generation System. Wang will develop and manage the system that produces up to two million letters per year.

IBM Global Services, Somers, N.Y., has been awarded a multimillion comprehensive information technology contract from Lincoln National Corp., Fort Wayne, Ind. IBM Global Services will be responsible for development and maintenance of application systems for Lincoln Life, Lincoln National's largest subsidiary.

DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE

International Data Products Corp., Gaithersburg, Md., has been awarded a multimillion-dollar contract by the U.S. Navy Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Philadelphia Detachment, for the lease of information technology equipment. The Navy IT-21 program is a major initiative to modernize Navy ship and shore-based IT systems using commercial off-the-shelf computers and networking equipment.

CACI International Inc., Arlington, Va., has been awarded an estimated $23.7 million contract with the Naval Air Warfare Center-Weapons Division in China Lake, Calif., to provide technical support services to the Electronic Warfare Advanced Technology program. CACI and its subcontractors have been supporting the EWAT program since its inception in 1992, when the company was prime contractor for the former Warning and Intelligence Gathering Sensors contract.

The Royal Australian Air Force has selected Bethesda, Md.-based Lockheed Martin Ocean Radar & Sensor Systems for its "Project Air 5375" tactical air defense program. The pending contract could be worth up to $100 million. The TPS-117 radar system will serve as the project's primary surveillance radar for the Tactical Air Defense Radar System.

DRS Technologies Inc. has been awarded, through its DRS Electronics Systems subsidiary in Gaithersburg, Md., a $2.8 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide hardware and software design for a system that will emulate the functions of the AN/UYQ-70 Advanced Display System. The system will be used for operator training at shore locations.

Spacehab Inc., Vienna, Va., has been awarded a new contract from NASA for the use of Spacehab Modules on three upcoming space shuttle missions extending over the next three years. The contact, which includes an option for a fourth mission, has an aggregate value of $42.8 million for the three firm missions.

EER Systems Inc., Seabrook, Md., has been awarded a contract to provide information technology services to the U.S. Army Information Engineering Command and its supported customers. The contract's value is estimated to be $108 million if all options are exercised. The focus of the contract will be on software engineering and technical services required for the integration of commercial, off-the-shelf products into interoperable military information systems.
