Compaq, GTSI Partner on Contracts

In the article titled "GTSI Touts Size as Key to Reseller's Financial Success," which appeared in your Jan. 26 issue, there was a statement that reads, "GTSI's biggest competition today is the manufacturing industry itself, including Dell Computer Corp., Compaq Computer Corp. and Gateway 2000."

Please allow me to set the record straight. Compaq Computer Corp. is and has always been a valued and important partner to GTSI. In fact, during calendar 1997, GTSI purchased more than $50 million in Compaq products that we then sold to our customers both on GSA schedule and through various other contractual vehicles.

GTSI and Compaq anticipate a long and successful partnership for the rest of this century and into the next.
