Global Knowledge Network of Waltham, Mass., promoted Duncan Anderson to chief operating officer. He was appointed senior vice president last January.

Ravi Gupta, former and president and co-founder of Freebalance Inc., formerly Linktek Corp., in Ottawa, was named chairman of the board. Additionally, Kevin Higgins was promoted to president and chief executive. The company also named Bruce Lazenby vice president of business development.

DynCorp of Reston, Va., named John Fitzgerald corporate vice president and controller and Thomas Sanders senior vice president of marketing and business development for the company's information and engineering technology unit.

Michael Wolf, formerly the chief technology officer and vice president of research and development of Phoenix-based Viasoft Inc., will now serve as a consultant to Steven Whiteman, the company's chairman, president and chief executive. Viasoft also named Kevin Hickey executive vice president and chief of operations.

Rochester, N.Y.-based Eastman Kodak Co. promoted Robert Leonard to director of finance and vice president of the commercial and government systems division. The company also named Joanne Braeunle director of imaging products and systems and vice president of commercial and government systems.

GETTING A WINDOW

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in Baltimore, hired retired Maj. Lawrence Deren, P.E., as senior associate and manager of its facilities engineering group. Deren will oversee federal, state and local clients and project management for all aspects of JMT's division.

Federal Sources Inc. of McLean, Va., hired Samuel Graber as a Fed-500 research analyst in the Fedmark division and Rob Konosky as a senior marketing analyst in its federal consulting division.

Keane Inc., based in Boston, hired Kevin Ashworth to head its new division, Resolve
2000. The division was created in June in response to the company's growing year 2000 compliance business.

The Washington-Baltimore branch of Keane Inc.'s information services division appointed Lawrence Brunelle to the position of consulting manager and application development practice manager.

David Pope has been appointed president of international airspace management systems, a new business area within Hughes Aircraft Co.'s information systems. The division is based in British Columbia, Canada.

Woodbridge, Va.-based Peak Consulting hired David Cox as a senior consultant and Stephen Kopp as a manager of information security services. The company also hired Edward Devlin as an executive consultant.

Edwin Gaskin has been appointed senior account manager in the Washington, D.C., office of Realogic Inc. Gaskin previously worked at Edge Systems Inc. based in Downers Grove, Ill.

Force Inc., Christiansburg, Va.,
announced that Bruce Thomas and Guillermo Ocampo have joined the
company's sales team. Thomas will be a national accounts manager and Ocampo will be a regional sales manager in Latin America.

Spot Image Corp., Reston, Va., named Colleen Cochran the environmental and urban planning account manager. Cochran has worked in Spot Image's customer service department for three years.

AlliedSignal Technical Services Corp., Columbia, Md., named Harry Schenk director of the Deep Space Network program supporting NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
